Attorney Nicole K. Shafran works to individualize comprehensive estate plans that align with each client’s estate, business and charitable needs. Nicole is experienced in handling the drafting of sophisticated estate, trust and business succession documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and organizational agreements. She also has experience assisting clients with complex fiduciary matters as they relate to the administration of trusts and estates, and probate administration.
Nicole has continuously focused her career on estate, gift and business tax planning. She earned an Accounting degree during her undergraduate studies. While in law school, Nicole enjoyed several tax law courses and decided to pursue an LL.M. in Taxation where she further narrowed her concentration to the study of gift and estate tax law. Nicole quickly realized that she could combine her tax knowledge, detailed-oriented skills and compassion to help individuals and families by practicing estate planning. Nicole interned in the trusts and estates department of a global law firm, and thereafter served as a tax consultant with the business tax and private wealth department of Deloitte Tax LLP.
Nicole moved to Cleveland, Ohio with her husband where his family and business is based. During this time, Nicole practiced as an associate for a national law firm, specializing in estate, trust and tax planning. Nicole and her husband moved south and settled in Florida where she decided to establish her own law practice. When not practicing law, Nicole enjoys the warm weather, jogging, cooking and spending time with her family and two Labradoodles.
